Rotary 9780 Donations In Kind
Helping hand to Fijian Communities

A poor village school in Dreketi, Fiji requested assistance from Rotary DIK.

20 reconditioned computers for the High School of Dreketi Vanua Levu Fiji means that only 2 children sit at one computer whereas prior to this gift from DIK 4 children sat at one computer. The school is now in a position to offer basic computer classes to the community. A quantity of books expanded the library. There is a strong demand for books in many of the poor communities in neighboring countries. Chairs from DIK meant that the students did not have to carry their chairs from class to class. They are delighted with the desks and chairs donated.
A selection of tools were included. Unpacking and sharing of household goods sent from DIK to a poor village .The joy of having a supplement to their meager belongings was a sight to behold and are much needed in poor villages. DIK packed 2000 bras which were distributed to the ladies of many villages in northern Fiji. Some of these ladies had never owned a bra. The wearing of bras is improving the health of women and girls in Fiji and were donated to DIK
